    WELCOME TO MAJOR GEEKS! :D

    what OS are you using?

have you checked your programs / startup group to see if the folder shows there? if it does, then remove it.

this will work for windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.

click on your start button.. go to your programs listing.. look for the group that says "Startup" .. expand that and check to see if there is a shortcut for the windows folder in there. If there is, RIGHT click on it and select delete from the menu that pops up.

(the following will work with windows 98, ME, XP)
if there is NO shortcut in there that resembles the folder in question. You will want to go to start.. then click on run.. then type in . MSCONFIG and hit enter. select the start up tab and check the list of items for the folder shortcut in question and uncheck it. if you don't see anything in there, then post back with the operating system you are using and the very last piece of software you installed. :D

follow this start (bottom left corner)/programs/look in all your listed programs for startup you should be able to see if that program is there

    i have another question...

when my computer starts up and loads, and when i check what tasks/programs/or whatever are running it lists, rnaap, rundl, msgloop, and msg32. are these supposed to be there? and if not how do i get ride of them.

    also....

when i did the MSCONFIG thingy, on the general tab, do i want it set at "normal startup" or "selective startup"?

    thankyou. long live the funk!

Normal startup will allow the pc to start everything that windows says is necessary, or most commonly used, on start up. In addition it will load things into the system tray so they have quicklaunch icons there. Selective startup means that you get to pick and choose which programs start when the pc starts up.

and those things you listed are normal, they are backround services that windows starts to facilitate many programs running.

Get the start-up list on your screen, and compare the entries to Pacs-Portal Website

WARNING! Pacs is a huge page, and can take a while to load. Give it time :D
