I was wondering if there is anything I can do for this...... I have a dell computer and when I start it up, it is extremely slow and when it finally gets to the desktop my start button and system tray does not appear but all my icons do and my internet works but I can't download anything or I can't click on links. Before I had this problem I updated my spybot and ad-aware and after I did that all these problems started. I called dell support and the guy said most likely when I updated one of those programs it encyrpted something.... he said more than likely I would probably have to wipe everything and start from scratch, I really would not like to do that. is there anything I can do?

OK That's funny. Just FYI - The DELL guy is very wrong on that point.

It may or may not be related to those program. If you are running their proactive programs at the same time together – maybe. Those are AdWatach (for Ad Aware) and TeaTimer for SpyBot.
As a quick check you can click START then RUN – Then type msconfig in the box. On the start up tab, look for those tow programs – disable them and reboot. See what happens.

But as a matter of safety you should start here and do the scanning procedures for your OS.
