when I run a drive cleaner (CCleaner, ATF Cleaner, Disk Cleaner, Zappit, whatever) that's set to remove cookies, all the cookies are never removed. I'll run a malware scan after the cleaner and tracking cookies are always left over and are detected/removed by the malware scanner. Why is this??? How come the drive cleaner doesn't get all the cookies?

When you open CCleaner go to "options>>cookies" and make sure you have not set it to keep any cookies.
