Ok, I am trying to install Windows 95 on a laptop. I can get into the MS-DOS prompt, but what do i enter to run the 95 setup wizard?

Usually Setup works. Can you browse the CD from the A:\ Drive.

You mean enter the d: command? Yes, but Windwos 95 is not bootable so I need to do it with MS-DOS. Yes, I can get to D:

Also, it is a new system so no OS yet. Or I have a Window 2000 disc that i want to install, but i cannot run any bottable discs in my laptop but how do I access the setup for windows 2000 in the MS-DOS prompt since I try D: setup.exe but it says cannot be run in MS-DOS mode.

If the Win95 is a CD, you should be able to just boot and the install program will start. This is if the disc is from Microsoft. Sadly otherwise, you are SOL if you do not have a floppy to install Win95 from the floppies.
