Quick question

Hi, I've got a little problem for you guys. I need to be able to build a hovercraft, out of two Case fans and I could really use some design ideas, I think I've got the asic idea but, it's not really that fine tuned. It's for the 2005 Physics Olympics. I need to be able to carry a large of mass as is possible, a short distance as quickly as possible.

 

Mythbusters build a few of them. Basically used a stiff board, flexible studry fabric, perferated below the skirt. One fan mounted on top, facing down to inflate the bag and provide lift, the other facing back for thrust and navigation.

 

Wow, two case fans, large mass I think not.
My case fans are only 80mm I guess you could hover a cat turd from one end of the room to the other with em!

For larger LOADS no pun intended! Ya right!

Are case fans a requirement? There are much stronger ducted fans available. Is this a contest where speed and load get you points? If so, and this is not the first year of this, research what worked last year, and what limits/restrictions/requirements apply.
