    I tested the keyboard. Looks fine. Except CAPS Lock which locks but to unlock the Caps, I have to press the Left Shift key. Strange...
    Now it's Edge that opens randomly. However, this happens much less often and only once it opened a few new windows while beeping. Another new symptom, Windows now pauses some time during boot. It looks like it crashed but after, 15, 20 seconds keeps on booting.

    I'm not sure what do mean with the keyboard test. Both tests seem to be OK.

    Then it isn't fine. Have you tried a different keyboard?

    No but I'm going to. It's definitely still inside as now it's EDGE that opens the attached window one also. I'm running SpyBot at this time.
    Maybe I should redo the whole initial process?

    Just bought a new USB keyboard. I'll pick it up this afternoon and see how it goes from here

    The new keyboard, Logitech K120, does the same; CAPS only comes off pressing the left shift.

    All the scans we have done show you are not infected with a virus. I am sorry, but it appears that I am unable to assist you going forward.

    You could re-run all the scans if you like, but I doubt they will find anything.

    That's good news TIM!
    But if there's no virus, how come Edge also opens new windows randomly including the one I sent with "REW" on the search box?

    Frankly, I haven't a clue. Yesterday I closed the lid on my laptop and when I opened it hours later, Opera browser was open. I haven't used Opera in months.
