Aww, a bit of history gone. RIP.

 

So sad to lose her. May she R.I.P. I recognized the name, and now it is nice to have a face to put to the name.

 

That's a damn shame. She really proved that you can stand up for what you believe.

 

A good woman, with a good heart. Few people will realise the sacrifice that these people made and the consequences they faced if caught. Bravery and a common belief in what was right. Ms. Gies' story restores the faith in human nature that gets lost now and again.
RIP.

 

Bless her, sure there's a special spot for her in heaven.

 

no doubt gives me chills thinking about what it must have been like surviving through that period of time.

Amazing woman, I didn't know that a member of that family was still alive.

My mother, rest her soul, lived under the German occupation of Belgium during the war, probably not more that 60 miles from where this woman was.
