Sad news indeed
Hunt For Red October is a favourite of mine
He has his Scottish accent and still plays a Russian

I think he was the best James Bond although Roger Moore has some pretty good one liners
Over here Channel 92 (GEM) is replaying all the Sean Connery 007 movies as a tribute so I will be breaking out the popcorn lol

 

Now and again you see a new face in acting and immediately know you will never forget them. In my case it was The Hill, way back in 1965, when I first noticed Sean Connery and I still recall it 55 years later, both for him and Harry Andrews, and for the cruelty.

 

He will be missed.

 

What a great loss, so sad to hear. He is indeed a great actor.

 

Pretty incredible person, can't think of a singular role he's played that I disliked. "From Russia with Love" still my favourite - being the first without all the "bells and whistles" of latter ones with different actors. Roger Moore didn't crack it for me. But Daniel Craig certainly made his role credible - he got as good as he gave.

Sean Connery contributed a lot as an actor and as a human being - he certainly held a fascination during the James Bond era - but moved on from there - . My favourite was his role in "Robin and Marian" - that was a truer version of a hero, later in life.
