I have 3 issues that are the source of all my laptop frustrations.

    1) I had a major spyware infection that I was able to clean after purchasing Norton and removing 3 cases or Adware.Rabio. It was causing pop ups. Now even though the actual pop ups have stopped IE still (not sure of the term) acts like its "losing attention." As if I have openened another window. Its REALLY hard to type! I'll be mid sentence - like now - and it seems as if its trying to open something else. Nothing happens though. Just the window acts as if its been clicked off of (hopefully someone gets what I mean by this).

I have run registry cleaners and other things trying to figure out what in the world is still wrong.

    2) I am not sure if there is something that Norton isn't picking up but about every 5 minutes or so "Network Diagnostics for XP" trys to run. Its really annoying between that and the wannabe pop ups.

    3) not so big of an issue. Reboot helper comes up on boot. I've looked through past forums of this and tried some of the things suggested but they aren't the same as mine. I have DSL through a company called Windstream.

The reboot helper started when I got DSL, the other issues started after my husband tried downloading some sort of freeware. rolleyes

Anywho, Any help much appreciated. I'm attaching the Hijack this log. If it doesn't show let me know and i'll post it.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

This may be due to junk your ISP installed. For example, they more than likely put the below into your startup list:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RecoverFromReboot] C:\WINDOWS\Temp\RecoverFromReboot.exe

Probably a messed up installation as mentionerd here: http://www.pcreview.co.uk/startup/RecoverFromReboot.exe.php

If you wish to check your PC for malware, please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

The log I attached to the above is AFTER following those instructions. I checked there first ;)

    Plus I have Norton.

The instructions I gave you do not ask you to attach a HijackThis log. Please follow the instrucions in the READ & RUN ME you have not run them and I can tell that by looking at the HijackThis log in message # 1.
