I have SystemCare 3 installed, utilizing the SmartRam program within it. Even with the autofree option selected, I'm finding that it doesnt seem to automatically free the ram though. I can even select the deep scan option to free up to 45 Mb the first time, then, freeing up to 27 Mb the second and third selection of deep scan.
Does anyone know of a better Ram freeing utility found in Majorgeeks.com???

It's 100% freeware, and runs with other version of Windows, not just XP. I use it on an older Win2000 system that only has 512mb memory and it really helps when a bunch of things are open at once.....

    i just tried both.

even though RAMpage is only compatible to NT (i'm running XP), there's another link to download the just the files (regular setup wouldn't work even when i changed the compatibility mode). i didn't actually find it did anything...actually slightly increased when i asked it to free memory.

tried FreeRAM XP Pro and it also increased; actually increased to a greater amount and i used the same settings i had for RAMpage.

so, based on my just completed experiment, i got rid of both and will wait for the 2 pairs of memory sticks i just ordered to increase my total RAM from 512mb to 4gb
