I also have a question about RAM updates, hope nobody mind, if I don't create a new treat:)

    I have a Toshiba Satellite M70, the RAM I have now is 512MB DDR2 SO-DIMM
    Speed : PC2-4300U DDR2-534
    Standard Timings : 4-4-4-11 3-15-4-2

According to Sissoftware Sandra the Maximum Memory Speed : 2x 266MHz (532MHz). In my PC user manual is written: use only PC4200 compatible DDRII memory modules.

    But as recommended by a shop assistant I bought Kingston 1GB PC 2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL6 200-pin SODIMM.

    Will they go together?

    Any advice highly appreciated!
    Thank you

I have moved your post to its own thread. Be aware that if you use 6400 it will only run as fast as the PC4200 that is installed. I would suggest you go to crucial.com and have it check your RAM and see what it recommends.
