Will adding RAM will decrease my CPU usage? I will attach my PC specs.

My CPU usage is usually more than 40 and will shoot up to more than 80 when using Visual Studio and up to 100% when scanning. So i usually close everything when doing specific task.

I need your suggestions, Should i add more ram? and will i notice the effect of adding RAM in my CPU usage and will decrease some lag on my PC

It's a little frustrating when my PC is freezing when the CPU usage is at 100%

PC is Virus free at the moment, im scanning it regularly.

I posted another thread about my slow system you might want to check this

    Thanks

You currently have 2GB. Your 32 bit version of XP will recognize and use another 1.2GB.
2GB should be enough for an XP system.
I was looking over your process list in the other thread.
I'd turn off the Java update schedule that runs at startup. Chances are good that you'll learn when Java issues another update. Actually, if you don't need Java, I'd uninstall it. There is currently another zero day exploit so I currently have Java disabled on the one computer it is installed on.

How much cpu usage is wmiprvse.exe using? I was reading it can show high cpu usage.

I also wonder why Chrome has 7 processes running.

What definitely jumps out is the 1.15 GB memory usage on one of the Chrome processes. You could try a monitoring software, just in case there are open "Windows" you can't see.

Malware could cause something like that to happen, if I'm not mistaken.

Ive been full scanning for 3 days with Malwarebytes and Avast im not picking up anything. Yes i am always wondering about that google chrome..

About the google chrome i always notice that when im using task manager. I always see multiple chrome.exe even after formatting my computer i always see multiple chrome.exe... maybe it creates a new chrome.exe per tab? thats why i thought it was normal.

Based on your conclusions i know i have a problem.. i hope you could help me to find that

    Thanks

So it's the Google chrome thats causing my system to slow down and consume my ram? do you think?

Temporarily i will use Firefox i will try if i will still have freezes.
As for now i only see 1 firefox.exe but my cpu usage is i think still high but not laggy. I will observe for a week.

There is no reason any browser should load at startup.
I see zero firefox processes when I boot up the computer. The processes come into play when I finally launch my browser.

Based on what the mechanic noticed, "What definitely jumps out is the 1.15 GB memory usage on one of the Chrome processes." Yes. If you have 2GB of RAM and one google chrome processes is eating up 1.5GB there isn't much left for everything else.

I use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall google chrome and see how the computer behaves.
