ram question

i hope someone can help me with this . i have 1gig of of 3200 speed ram installed . during gaming sometimes i use up to 850 meg of ram . so my questions are, 1 - will it help by getting more ram and if so do i need to get the exact brand i alredy have installed ?

 

what games are you running, if you were to purchase more ram you should match the brand you have to avoid issues

 

the game that brings it up is everquest . i've done the blackviper tips so there is not much more i can do as far as shutting stuff down . so bottom line , is it worth the money to buy more ram or won't i notice any difference ?

 

use your paging file dude.1gig is good,but mine is ddr.
And match the brand and type,if you want to upgrade.
you should not upgrade,just tweak your setiings.

 

1GB should be plenty of RAM for a normal user. The only applications which may benefit from more RAM are Photo/Video editing and 3d-rendering programs like Adobe products or Maya.

for everquest, 1GB is plenty. as long as you keep your computer virus free and spyware/adware free, you should be fine.

more RAM in your case would not be worth the money.

 

One gig is more than enough for any game.

I would only recommend more if the motherboard was dual-channel capable, but only had one stick of memory installed.

You might then see an improvement, albeit slight, otherwise your money is better spent elsewhere.
