Ram Question

HI

I recently put a 1gb 3200 RAM module in my PC

The only thing is is when my computer boots up it does a memory check and it says memory frequency DDR266

I am worried that my RAM is not running to its full potential speed !!

The motherboard will take 3200 and I have checked the BIOS settings to ensure it auto detects the speed of the RAM but it staill says DDR266 on startup !!!

Does anyone know a good method to actually check the speed that your ram is running at ???

Your MOBO is probably running memory to match the speed/FSB of your CPU.
You can probably manually set your memory speed in BIOS, is usually best to run memory matching the speed of your CPU.

Post the spec's of your PC, include the MOBO model.

And my processor is

Intel Pentium 4, 2233 MHz (22 x 102)

I have also got the following info from the original manufactures web site of my machine - however I have upgraded everything apart from the processor

I have downloaded Everest and it says in the overclocking section that my CPU FSB is
CPU FSB 101.81 MHz (original: 100 MHz)

It also says my ram is not running at (400/3200) it is running at different timings but all are between (133 & 200)

I think the above info points towards a processor upgrade!

What u think?
