RAM question

how do i find out what kind of RAM I'm running and its speed all i know is i have 128 mb RAM. want too know if i have simm dimm whatever not very comp saavy... want to upgrade to 1 g too make run faster need to know what to do

 

Open up your case and make sure you have earthed yourself on a water tap or what ever and look with a spy glass to see if you have a white label on the stick of memory. If you cant see/read it from there take it out and look, to do so, at each end of the stick you will see 2 small White snap holders, press then down and that will release them, and make sure you have earthed your self before.. When replacing put even pressure with thumbs at each end of stick until you hear the holders snap back in (ensuring you have it the correct way round)... some sticks require quite a bit of pressure to seat properly.

 

Download and install EVEREST Home Edition. When you run Everest expand Motherboard, click-on SPD. Everything you want to know about your installed memory will be displayed in the right panel.

all set computer now has 640 mb ram and runs awesome
