Ram

i was gifted a DDR RAM stick by my cuz on which was printed DDR 512 MB 400MHz.

My rig is an Intel original 865GBF board o which resides 2.8GHz Dual core cpu and i have DDR 1x512 at 333MHz.

Can i use this new stick and install it on my board and what speed will it work on?

 

Yes you can use it but it will run at the slower 333Mhz ram speed. If you use two different speeds of RAM the faster will run at the slower speed.
