Random Background Audio, Sounds like a TV show

I've read some of the other threads on random windows opening with Mozilla, unfortunately the fix somewhat surpasses my computer capabilities. I've tried to download the malwarebytes program, (which I'm rather confused about, it has a download link right next to the buy link.... do I need to by it?). Anyway It won't install. (I think I've just been downloading an update) In addition to the random windows, there is what appears to be a random TV show playing in the background of my computer, there is no window, just audio. When I close all applications, and check my task manager to verify all programs are closed, the show continues. Ironically I think its an interesting National Geographic show....I've actually just been listening to it. Anyway way I gotta get rid of this.
If somebody can give me some instruction, in plain English (I lack the terminology to follow along with the other threads instructions), I'd really appreciated it.
Is this a new Virus? From what I've read it seems to have popped up within the last week.
    Thanks again.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Steps to take are in the below guide, do the general cleanup tasks first then choose your Windows version and follow the instructions in that guide, it has all instructions for running the various applications like Malwarebytes etc

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    • If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.

plus a guide on how to attach the logs HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post
