Random Blue Screen's

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out a problem to a blue screen in which is occurring on a system I recently built. This problem only started to occur in the past two weeks. This system has been running for about a month now, and until recently the system seems to have been working great. I have also noticed that this only seems to be occurring when playing a game (SWTOR) or (if explained correctly by the customer) video from a website (not given specifics). I have done a Memtest for 1 pass with no errors. Started a chkdsk, ran a few stress tests etc. I can not get the problem to replicate. I sent the PC home last week on the 15th and no problems until the 21st on Saturday.

I would run an extended memory test (at least an hour if not longer).

I had a similar issue with an Intel 775 build a few years ago - random BSODs that occurred anywhere from startup to as long as four hours after the system was booted up. It turned out to be a defective memory module that flagged in MemTest after slightly an hour of non-stop testing.

Just to give a heads up of what has been done.

I had done an in-depts stability test for the graphics & power using furmark. Once I did a little research I learned that the video car required 46amps from the PSU, and the current PSU only supply 44 amps. With that being said, I did the in depth test. Over a 12 hour period computer did not crash.

I am now doing an indepth test on the hard drive to verify it may not be causing the issue. I'll start the memory test next

 

Another Update

I did a mem test for 2 1/2 hours and still no errors. I had another guy tell me that he said its the second stick of memory based on the blue screens. However, I tested the second stick and same, no errors. I have been running furmark while also testing memory in windows for over 16 hours and still no blue screen.
