Random Boot up [help]

Hi there,

Sorry for asking a question on my first time here.

I have a Asus L3000D notebook.

My problem is that it start it up when it wants. Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes it just won't start up, post boot up message and all.

The power led indicating the battery is charging up makes me think it isn't related to it.

Surprisingly enough, yesterday, i had to press the power button twice.
At the first time, some noise could be heard but the screen would remain dark.
The second time, it would just work fine.

Now, nothing works at all.

All i can tell :
- It's not the hard drive
- It shouldn't be the battery
- It shouldn't be a cable which isn't plugged in right

I've looked around the web for answers but couldn't find a similar problem.

Please help!

 

I'm thinking something with the power supply, the battery or the power switch could be causing this problem.
How long have you had this laptop, and how long have you been experiencing this problem?

I've tried reinstalling the battery and it worked!
