I’ve had this idea of a reverse flow hourglass, it’s just an idea, it, serves no useful purpose, just a bit of fun, thinking about it, it probable already exists, if not, great.
Anyone out there interested in debunking the idea or, more to the point helping can share in the glory of creation.
It will consist of a glass hour glass that will be tilted off centre held in a wooden or plastic frame. The glass will be filled with iron filings instead of sand. Electro magnets will be placed at the top and bottom of the frame, the flow of electricity will have to be variable, to stop all of the iron filings (in the bottom half of the hour glass) being drawn upwards at the same time, so, as the filings are slowly drawn to the top chamber the tilt of the glass will be affected by the weight and turn the hour glass over, this action will deactivate one electro magnet and activate the second, thus continually turning back time, making us young and in some cases beautiful again.

 

Fill the bong with iron filings! :-D
