    If you follow the link, it also describes what the service does. I would expect this advice was written to someone who knows that it would have to be restarted come time to update windows. How often is that done? Once a month (patch Tuesday) at most? I would have to agree it doesn't need to be tying up resources for the rest of the month.

    Blackviper also goes on to tell everyone that using msconfig to disable services is dangerous too ;)

    Its a nice guide, but there are glaring flaws.
