re-occoring problem

Lately my computer has been slightly slower, the internet connection kicks off, and it freezes up on occasion.

On the startup as the administrator it begins by loading up free ram xp, which I have installed, then aim. Then from there it sits with no processor activity and when I move my cursor to the taskbar it turns into an hourglass for about 30 seconds. Then the computer starts working again and starts zone alarm pro. So, along with the 3 programs I mentioned it then shows my internet connections in the tool bar, and by now the hourglass is gone and I can use windows.
But my nvidia display program and Microsoft anti spyware do not appear in the taskbar like they usually do, but they are obviously running when I open up task manager.
So I then do a system restore to about a week earlier and the problem is gone until I restart it again.
So now I go through and try the spyware removal write up that is on this site, which hasn’t fixed it.

Now this problem has happened before about 4 months ago, but I fixed it by running a program called "harden-it" which I had found on this site but now its not helping.
I call it a " problem" because I don't know if it’s a virus or spyware or anything else.
But I see no funny unknown running programs, but there does seem to be about 100mb of more ram usage than usual.

So I run:
Zone alarm pro
Ad aware se pro
Spy bot S&D
spywareblaster
avg 7.0 pro
Microsoft anti spyware
Windows xp home sp2

I hope that I have given enough info, and I would love to get some help please.

Your HijackTHis log is clean.

If you have at least 256Mb of system RAM uninstall FreeRAM XP. There is no real need to use this program if your system 256Mb of RAM or better.
