Nobody told you to click-on a link. The O16 line that chaslang showed you is an example of what we would see in your HijackThis log if your copy of Windows has been validated using Windows Genuine Advantage. If your copy of Windows has been validated; you shouldn't be replacing LegitCheckControl.dll in the System32 directory.

Whether or not your system has been validated to be a legitimate Windows XP OS, you will still get all critical updates via automatic updates.

Carefully read what we are telling you, and do not do things we do not specifically tell you to do.

i ran the hjt and it looks like its there

 

so i didnt do the last step i did do that after u told me to before though

 

it must have been in the other post i have under the software section of this forum heres a error mess i get when i try to do the dl from the direct site or link for the updates
ok i tryed to run them from the site u encluded and i got this error message and i dont know what to change the file location too when it ask me to change the flie source,heres the error mess...

copy error:

set cannot copy the files update_sp2qfe.inf

ensure that the location below is correct,or change it and insert 'windows xp hotfix source files' in the drive u specify.

i think when i went to dl them from the software link that it final did it there valiadated it i mean

i told u that i have a post on the software section of this forum about this problem and that were someone(halo) posted a place its windows update site thats a direct link to dl these two that im having problems updateing so he send the direct link to them that were i tryed to redl them and it said i had to valaidte mt copy and i guess when i went there it finally went through and thats why its there now
if you look under the software sec youll see the post from him

 

ok sorry i didnt mean to confuse anyone,you guys did help me get rid of the problems i was having with all the spyware and stuff and i didnt know that i shouldnt combine the two so i guess ill just check on it and hopefully it will work soon thanks for all u guys help
