Re: Updating My Motherboard and CPU

Hi there to all that read this. At current, I still have my GA 7VKML Motherboard, which is 1.3Ghz 3D Now Processor AMD Athlon. I need to know a little bit about my new board and processor since I am getting it installed tomorrow.

My new MoBo is the Asrock - K8VM800 (1.6GT/s) Socket 754 Motherboard with an AMD Sempron 3000 DDR 400, HT2000, Integrated VGA, AGP 8x, SATA 150 RAID, 10/100 LAN, 8-ch Audio 6x USB 2.0 maTX.

I would like to know which one is faster as I was browsing the Net to find out that the new motherboard is 800Mhz, but in brackets, it says 1.6GT/s, does that mean that my new board reads 1.6Ghz or am I just wasting money on this board? I primarily need to this new board to play games and use the net efficiently, and would it hold a Radeon 9550 256Mb AGP Card efficiently as well?
