read only attribute

    I have a laptop that is dieing so I burned all the pictures and music to a dvd-rw...now when I try to copy the pictures to my computer it says cannot read from the source file or disk????? they all say read only attribute?????I used vista home built in burning program

    You get that message when trying to copy, or when trying to open the copied files? Read-only should not prevent files from being opened (read).

    yeah that's the message...weird isn't it and thanks for replying...the pictures are all .jpg...but I can copy the music files no problem...

    update...all is good I used ashampoo free burner and burned the dvd again and this time I am able to look and the pictures and copy them
