   When doing normal start up do I have to leave all programs running in my task bar or can I exit them?

   A normal startup means not having msconfig in any other mode than normal ( not in diagnostic mode with items disabled).
   
   You should exit out of your programs while you run the scans that we ask you to run (including your AV and AS programs):
   SAS
   MBAM
   RootRepeal
   ComboFix
   C:\MGTools.exe ----> producing the C:\MGLogs.zip
