   Hello some body
   My DVD RW drive reads some DVD video discs but not others. It also fails to read some DVDs it has burnt (which play well on a home DVD player.
   Windows XP pro, Windows explorer message- No disc in the drive.
   NEC DVD RW ND 3550A firmware 1.05 ,

   First try this and remove the upper and lower filters, these are added with multiple applications and in the main burning apps, if you have tried a few out of late then this could have corrupted the filters so do try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 (note you may need to re-install your favoured burning application)
