Reading Md Files Again?

I know I asked this before but couldn't the last post. I have some .md files on my computer that I downloaded from the internet that I want to read. I tried EditPad Lite, and it worked but only color-coded the code. I'm looking for a program to read these files better. Any recommendations?

Do I really need to convert the files to another format? I want to read the file as is. Apparently, I can use any text editor to read the files but want the tags to display properly.

How to get a clean Markdown preview in Notepad++

1. Open Notepad++.
2. Click Plugins in the top menu bar, then select Plugins Admin....
3. In the search box, type Markdown.
4. Check the box next to Markdown Viewer++ (or NppMarkdownPanel).
5. Click the Install button in the top right corner and let Notepad++ restart.
6. Open your .md file, then click the new Markdown icon on your toolbar (or go to Plugins > Markdown Viewer++).

 

Earlier today, I tried to open .md files with a browser on two computers, and it worked properly. Thank you for your help, though.
