Real Player Spyware?

Am I the only one who objects to the huge spyware content of Real Player? This thing tries to take over your machine by installing all manner of software, that logs what you do and reports all activity and your personal details to Real and worse, to unspecified 'third partys' that Real will not be responsible for!
When I installed it , the thing even turned off my firewall leaving my machine open for others to install whatever they like! Take my advice don't bother with it unless you like being watched.
