    Hi all,

I'm having the troubles that a lot of people are having with Anti-virus-1. I got rid of that, but my browser has still be taken over. I'm getting link redirect on Google and other search engines. Before knowing a forum like this existed, I tried to run all sorts of virus/malware scans/etc. I followed the FAQ's, but was unable to install any of the suggested software. I was able to get MGtools to work, so I have attached the log.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a complete loss.

    Thanks,
    Martin

You need to tell me exactly what the problem was with installing SAS, MBAM or ComboFix.

I was able to clear off enough of the malware to finally get these programs to run. I thought I was free and clear, so I installed a new viruscan (Avast), firewall, and spyware detector.

I restarted and now I am getting limited or no connectivity and cannot open any programs pertaining to the internet (Firefox, IE). I am posting from a working desktop on the same router.

Then I suggest you disable the firewall first and see if you can connect. If you can, attach those logs that I ask for.

I disabled the firewall with no luck. I even uninstalled all of these programs and no luck still. IE freezes upon opening pretty instantly. Firefox takes 5-10 minutes to open. Limited or no connectivity still happening. None of the programs are finding anything to clean. I've attached the logs of programs that I can get to work.

Thanks for your help so far!
    Martin

Why are you using a proxy server? This does not appear to be a malware issue. Perhaps you should post in the software section.
