A friend of mine made a bad mistake when he removed his CD/DVD drive while the Computer was still running. Now his computer reports a bunch of sounds device issues and of course no sound. I still had the original motherboard drivers cd but that didn't work. I know this issue is kind of popular but i haven't found a real solution yet.

The board is an ECS 755-A (V1.0a)
    AMD Sempron Socket 754
    On-board sound issue

Have already tried a sound card with no luck.
    Hope thats enough info...thanks

Can't say much here,He could have damaged anything if the computer was running and he touched random pieces.

I would recommended backing up all your files and try to reinstall windows and then downloading the latest drivers from realtec.com to make sure its defintaly a hardware issue.

Makes sure the sound is not disabled somewhere like in the Bios or device manager
