    Hello,
I'm using the motherboard, DG43GT with onboard Realtek HD Audio, and the drivers I installed from the support site doesn't work.
I am using Windows XP Prof Service Pack 2 32-Bit.
I did have Windows 7 Installed, and the sound worked after I downloaded the drivers from the intel downloadcenter. Then I reinstalled Windows XP on my system and downloaded the same drivers but downloaded the XP version of the driver.
In device manager, there is no errors to missing drivers, I installed the UAA Bus driver, a lot of hotfixes claiming to fix these errors, and it failed.
I tried everything possible, the drivers are fully installed, the realtek manager icon is there in the bottom right corner of the screen.
If someone could help then it would be great :)
Thanks in advance and enjoy your day!

My system has a Nvidia Geforce 210 installed, and when I install my Video Drivers it installs 4 Nvidia HD Audio Drivers aswell. So under sound in device manager there is 4 nvidia hd sound and 1 realtek.
It was the exact same on Windows 7, 4 nvidia hd audio and 1 realtek and it worked. Just xp gives me issues, and the drivers are from the same intel site, and my sound device is enabled, etc. Thanks

    Hi and welcome to MG's,

Please download and install(but do not run yet) Driversweeper from here.....

    http://www.google.com/url?q=http://...ds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEbG-UmlqyAKoezTdCcr5l0F4UHNQ

Download and "SAVE" this driver to your desktop .....

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/con...e=Drivers&OSFullname=Windows+XP+Professional*

this is the original release driver for that board.

I need for you for you also to install the UAA driver from here....

    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33867.exe

install the uaa before any of the next steps!!! once installed reboot your machine into SAFE MODE (f8 at boot).

In SAFE MODE run driversweeper you will see a screen similar to this...

follow the instructions in the shot then once completed reboot into normal mode and install the audio driver that you saved to your desktop earlier. You must reboot for your machine to recognise the changes that have been made, if you have audio after reboot i would then install the latest audio driver update from here.....

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/con...ds&ProductProduct=IntelĀ®+Desktop+Board+DG43GT

remember to reboot after install. I would also strongly advise you to update your OS to service pack 3, as this will resolve quite a few issues that may arrise once machine is fully functional.

Hope this helps to resolve your issue :major

    Thanks, I will try it.
But out of curiosity, what is the problem here? A simple problem somewhere? I did install SP3, and reinstalled everything, didn't work anyways, but will try it your way.
So, if it is possible, could you tell me what could have been the issue here?
    Thanks

It may be that you could be missing the UAA driver and the Realtek driver may have been the latest version that you tried to install !! it is normally best to install the original version of driver first then update it to the latest version it will give you a more stable enviroment for your system.
Is this the support page that you got the drivers for your board .....

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...ds&ProductProduct=IntelĀ®+Desktop+Board+DG43GT

this is the correct support page for your board !! it covers all OS's so would be a good idea to bookmark the page for easier access in the future.

That site was the site I got my drivers from, and I did install my UAA Bus Drivers. Downloaded both my Win 7 and XP Drivers from the page you linked, so the drivers are fine..

There may have been some sort of conflict with the drivers, installing drivers can mostly be a "nightmare", hopefully driversweeper will remove all versions of the realltek driver and stop any conflicts that may occur.
