Hey guys. I own a Gigabyte GA-MA770-S3 motherboard and I don't have any problems with it except one. I occasionally have hangups in games and blue screens in XP SP3 due to some unspecified error in my sound driver (the files called out on the blue screens point back to my integrated sound driver). Is there an alternate driver to the default one provided that can alleviate this error (right now I have to download the stupid Realtek HD Audio Driver and even on other peoples' computers it's given me nothing but problems)? Or should I go buy a sound card and uninstall or turn off the integrated device? Thanks for teh help. This is retarded. Never had this problem with realtek before.

    Hi

Well alternative to the onboard audio is indeed an add-on sound card and turn off the onboard, but not always are they not going to give you issues either.

What you could try is to download the latest Audio driver from your PC maker here then download this UAA driver update from Microsoft, install that then the Audio one, or as I just noticed the latest one at Gigabyte has the UAA driver built in Here top of the two Audio drivers.

If you get BSODs post the code in full.
