I have a friend who has Win XP. 256 mg ram. She just had DSL installed on her computer. Every time she reboots the machine, a message comes up that says Reboot Helper : If the installation CD is not in the CD drive, insert it now. Does anyone know what this means? She can x out of it and go on but it comes up every boot.

    Is it Yahoo DSL?

If so, check in Add/Remove Programs and just uninstall it.

    Your Welcome!

Once I get a HJT log we can remove the start entry and possible the folder from which the program is located.

    Zeus62,

If you would have followed that I requested we would have done this the right way. All you did was disable it, not remove it. The way I requested would have removed it.
