    hope someone can help. whenever i reboot on xp pro the OS freezes, yet when i shutdown and restart all is well. thanks

    Have you changed any hardware or installed any software before this started to happen.

    Post you specs as this maybe a clue.

    i upgraded from xp home to pro. all else seems to be fine

    Was this an upgrade or a clean install, wiping the hard drive. Ugrades cause a lot of problems as there are old drivers etc still there gumming up the works.

    Yep... true. I hate to suggest a clean install... but if it were me, that's what I'd do. Format C:\ :)

    I'd wait a few days and see if anyone knows what this particular problem is... maybe there's a solution without having to format.
