Recommend me a VIRUS CHECKER

Hi Guys,

Whats the best all round virus checker you can recommend? I just removed NIS2004 Pro and NAV2004, my PC was resetting by itself whenever I played winamp after 5 mins or so...

I think Nortons was to blame, touch wood it hasnt happened in the last 20 mins..

resource hungry NORTON!!! grrr

anyway, which ones do you recommend, please comment on your virus checker and what you think of it overall so I can decide upon per user opinions, I dont want to install and uninstall a slew of virus programs just to check them out, I`d prefer to choose one and stick with it....

Any other recommendations?

I`ve been told to get NOD, Avast, .. Hmm, I`m going to start a poll and see whats what
