Record number of data breaches in 2007

It's just the data loss in the UK past few months that's made me laugh!

 

Yeah they seem to be making a right mess of it here in the UK too, pfft. I think that they all could do with some help and advice from the security experts here at MajorGeeks :major you would think with something so important they would be extra careful. My bank got in trouble for dumping the cash machine slips in the trash :confused you put them in the "secure" disposal at the bank only for them to tip it outside! Dumb or what!

 

They spend millions on firewalls etc then put it all on a disk and post it or let a public servant take it home for the weekend

 

As one who has had it happen to them;Its a mind-fu*^$r;;Prudential Ins ,is just now letting us know about it; even though they caught,chrged,tried,& SENTENCED their employee last June-Then writes a " Dear John"....
in Dec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And nothing about it in the media,,,,,,
