Recover data after format

    Hi Geeks,

    I have a friend who was doing a drive swap, but accidentally formatted the wrong drive DOH!!!

    He has lost all his data 113GB of really important stuff not backed up anywhere else.

    He works in IT and has tried everything he has run recovery software and can see his data and it appears to recover but when he opens the file nothing happens as if it's corrupted???

    Any ideas of what else he can try? He hasn't written any new data to it after the format
