Recovery disc

recently i was rsstoreing my compaq-presario desktop to factory settings an i got to disc 5 of the recovery an it kept getting an error when i take the disc out it has a smudge on it so i whipe it off an after i whipe it off the smudge was actuly a spot on the disc that has ate the coating off the other side now im stuck with my computer without anything working i have tried finding recover disc for it but no luck its out of warrenty aswell what i had one it was windows vista home premium 32bit is there a place i can download this an enter my key because i have my product key but i cant find anywhere to download i hope someoen can help me i need my pc for work

 

no one i know has the same computer as me on my recovery disc i found the folder with the data that it cannot read its in the Drv folder also it had already formated the hardrive for the reinstail

 

That is a tough one surgos, as you said, you have already reformatted the drive. Either you'll have to borrow a disk or bring it in to a shop. The only advice I'd have there is STAY AWAY from the big box stores! A few phone calls should have you find a shop that will do this for $30 to $50, tell them what happened and ask for a price, just to reinstall, no more. I'm sure the big stores would be more like $150.

i fixed it myself all i done was took all the files that i could get an moved them to a new disc only ones i couldnt move was everything in the Drv file so i didnt move any of thoes seeing as i couldnt lol and it seems like that area wasnt important the only thing i can figure was in that folder was more recent updates because when i got where all my icons are i had a ton of updates more than i have had on the other times i had redone my pc thanks everyone for the help
