recovery problems

    i have an hp pavillion a345w. after a major system crash. i cant figure out how to use my factory hp recovery partition to reinstall my os. any ideas?

    HP/Compaq built in recovery partitions are usually accessed by pressing either F10 or F11 right when you power up the PC and you see the logo. This will usually bring up a menu asking which type of recovery you want to do. If I remember correctly, there isn't a safe recovery option, meaning all your data will be erased.
