Recycle Bin - Column headings

I run Vista Ultimate.

When I open Recycle bin, all the information is gives me for each item it holds is 'File Name'.

Mebbe my memory is playing tricks (entirely possible!) but I seem to remember in the past seeing Date Deleted, File Type, File Size, etc., as column headings, also.

'Date Deleted' would be particularly useful - anything older than XXXX I could delete, leaving newer stuff in case, until I was sure it was not needed.

Is it possible to set Recycle Bin to show more column headings, please?

 

When you open up the Recycle bin, look in the upper right corner of the screen and you will see a dropdown menu. From there you can select details which shows all of the info you are requesting. It's on the same line as Organize, Empty Recycle Bin, etc are located, just on the far right.

 

Sorry - I can't find that drop-down menu.

On the same level, I have Organise / Views / Empty the Recycle Bin / Restore all Items - then blank space until the far right, where there's a blue circle with '?' in it - which gives me the Help Menu. Nowhere on this bar can I find the drop down menu of which you speak. Moving the cursor along the line illuminates al the buttons I have listed - nothing more

Just been frantically checking, before posting this somewhat negative reply - and I'VE FOUND IT!!

At the top, - File/Edit/View/Tools/Help - under 'View' - a drop-down menu - one option is 'Choose Details ....' - that does the trick!!

Mebbe Vista does things differently?

Well it looks similar to Windows 7 which I'm running now and was going based off that, but glad you found it! i knew it was a view option.
