Hi all,
I am new here and would like some help with this problem..From what I am reading..from searches..it may be something called Braviax.exe.
I need help trying to fix this. I did see some posts...but im so smart I couldnt figure out where it started. :confused
anyways..can I run a hijack log and post it? Thanks

If you are speeking of having an icon on your Desktop that is a red circle with an X in it like below

then you downloaded and save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop which is not a problem. Why did you download it? It is used in special malware removal procedures.

I didnt know I downloaded it. I had clicked on a friends request in myspace and then this appeared. Im not sure how to get rid of it. Keeps popping up saying to download this windows defenders thing..but then it doesnt take me anywhere. This is the message I get..constantly

Windows has detected spyware infection
it is recommended to use special antispyware tools to prevent
data loss. windows will now download and install the most up to date antispyware for you.

Then I click on it..but it doesnt bring me anywhere...but its annoying..and I have been getting virus warnings every day..but my AVG catches them and heals them.

another question...
I got an email saying someone responded with posting hijack logs so I came here and its not here?? I followed the link in my email but that message that my email said was here..is not here. IM so confused..LOL

This is different! This means you are infected and you need to do the below. Note we do not ask you anywhere in those instructions to run or post a HijackThis log. We automatically do that for you when you follow those instructions in the step with MGtools.
Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions. If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.
