I wanted to start a hosting site but I've never used Redhat linux, which is what I want my servers to be in. Is it hard to learn? Where should I look for help and stuff?

I currently am using Gentoo Linux. Definitely not for newbies. I've tried many distros and like this one best. I just couldn't get the others to work the way I wanted.

    Anyway, Welcome to MajorGeeks.

Unless you are planning to buy Redhat Enterprise Linux, It's not available as a free distro anymore, I would suggest downloading CentOS4. CentOS4 is a complete clone of RHEL ES4.

Redhat has a learning curve, but you can pick it up fairly quickly. Buy a copy of the Redhat Linux Bible that will get you going.

The free version is called Fedora Core.

I am completely aware of FC, I run it on one of my Boxes. The poster asked about Redhat specificly. Fedora Core is the community development project that RHEL is built from, RHL as a free distro is nomore. I was suggesting CentOS4 as an option since it is a complete clone of RHEL4 ES.
