Redirect Malware Issue

    Hello - I have the Google Redirect problem.

    I followed all of the preliminary instructions...

    SuperAntiSpyware found no issues. Log file is attached.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - I was unable to install this. I renamed the file before saving and tried installing it as an Administrator, but nothing worked.

    Combofix.exe - same issue as MBAM

    MG Tools - log file attached

    First a couple of important observations and questions. I see you had no protection software installed. Why not? Compounding this is the fact that your copy of Windows is not even properly updated. This is a dangerous combination ( no protection and out of date software ). You just installed Spyware Doctor 6 on June 9th. Most likely after getting the infection. Is this a trial program or a paid program? Is this only the antispyware program? Did it find anything?

    Since some of the scans did not run, we don't have enough info to go on. Also one of the scans embedded in MGtools also did not run because you do not have the Microsoft .NET Framework software installed. We need you to install this to get another of the logs in the MGtools collection. It may help us locate some of your problems. You can install the .NET Framework software from Microsoft by clicking the Download button in the below link and then running the dotnetfx.exe file once it is downloaded.

    After installing the above, please follow the below instructions.


    Please install and run this: Trend Micro RootkitBuster and save a log.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).




    Then attach the below logs:
    • the log from Trend Micro RootkitBuster
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
    Make sure you tell me how things are working now!
