After killing a "Internet Antivirus" rogue program manually, I am being re-directed while doing a google or yahoo search from what I clicked to something somewhere else.

I have run a virus scan and a defender program. I have also done a disk clean up.

Additionally, when i goto log on (Im on a network), the first time I try, it wont let me log on at all (cursor wont move), the second time it will let me log on, but goes into "windows is starting" or "applying personal settings" and then stops.......finally the third time I try to log in, it will let me.

Further, if I try to goto ANY site (via cutting an pasting the url), I am faced with a log in screen......put in my info three times and then get a error message and a foriegn looking "shutting down in ___ seconds" message. Then my computer shuts down.

I did a Log File from hijack this....I have attached it....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hijack This Log --- google redirect

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this.

I recently was infected with a "Internet Antivirus" rogue program which played havoc with my computer. I found removal instructions and successfully removed it from the registry.

Now it appears that I have some sort of redirect virus which redirects any google or yahoo search from the desired URL to somthing else. The URL can be cut and pasted and used.....

Further, these other things are occuring:

If I enter a URL for ANY site where there is ANY information about removal of this virus, malware, etc I get a log on screen, where my log on doesnt work....after three attempts, I get a "shutting down" message which looks foriiegn to my computer.

Also, I have to power my computer three times.....

first time--- I cant operate the log in screen (mouse wont move cursor)
second time---I can log in, but get "staring windows" which doesnt go away
    third time---I get in....

I will attach my Log file from Hijack This............

If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.
