redirect virus

I've been trying to get rid of this virus for some time now with no success. The latest versions of avast and malwarebytes don't seem to do anything.

The virus usually redirects me to ad sites, although sometimes porn and fake virus protection sites. Further, (and this just started yesterday) internet links have also been redirecting. In the past, I have been able to fix problems like this on my own, but this has me truly stumped. I registered here in hope that a pro could help me out. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

 

Good news - It looks like a fix of my own got rid of the damned thing. I am clean by the look of things, so I think this thread can be closed. I will return if the problem resurfaces.
