redirecting

This isn't a software problem per se but, I am an ex-pat living in Switzerland. Very often, when I attempt to browse a website, or install software, it automatically assumes I want it in German. In cases where I can switch language during installation no problem, but take my HP Laserjet software for instance, I cannot seem to get it to work in English, or when I start MAMP and go to my smart page, German. Ads on this page, German. Would it be such a big deal if I change my country settings, but retain the Swiss German keyboard?

You can have any combination of language, country and keyboard layout. Which version of Windows are you using?

PS You can also change the language in your Web browser.
