    We had some clear coat that was super lumpy at work. Instead of holding the drill in our hand for several hours, we rigged this up:

    I was making brownies with my daughters when the mixer just went ZZZZT! so being the proper rednek I am, I went to the tool closet pulled out the black and decker 18V cordless, secured beater/mixer thing in the chuck. ( alot like what you did there, minus the nylon strapping) daughters thought it was great and brownies were served.
