After reformatting Win XP on a Dell Dimension 3000 I have found the dreaded Yellow ?'s in OTHER DEVICES. The ETHERNET CONTROLLER and MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER show no drivers installed. I need help finding the proper drivers and have attached an Everest report.
    Thank You, Mano

    Hey Mano

What I would first try is the below in the order mentioned.

Install the Chipset driver HERE and reboot,
Install the network driver HERE and reboot
Install the Audio driver HERE and reboot.

all drivers for your PC are HERE

I tried downloading (using a thumb drive and cannot connect to the internet)the drivers in order and rebooting each time. I still have the same problem, shows no drivers.

I did install each driver. The driver R94481 (multimedia driver) will not load,it says it is part of a disc set install the last disc in set. I do not have the original disk.

    Hi

Try this and open your BIOS and check for any network or audio enable/disable options, if you do see them then disable and save and exit the BIOS, then enter the BIOS again and enable those options then check Device Manager.

But those drivers are the actual ones for your model Dell 3000, so should work and what devices in Device Manager have yellow ! marks next to them (I know this is a recap of earlier but I just want to see if there is any change).

    Hello DavidGP,

After I checked the BIOS I still wasn't having any luck with the driver downloads. But I did notice when I reformatted it took me back to service pack 2. After I installed service pack 3, I was able to reinstall the Ethernet controller and driver and the drivers for the Multimedia Audio Controller. I am now able to get an internet connection.
Thank You for all the help.
    Mano
