    Hi

I stupidly downloaded malware called Regclean Pro a few weeks ago.... Not good. I followed the instructions for malware removal from one of your threads last week (it took ages but was very thorough and much appreciated) and thought my computer was clear, but the malware has returned. It is much worse now and seems to be eating up memory on my computer. So much so that when I try to redownload Malwarebytes, it says I don't have enough memory for it (the version I downloaded before has been corrupted by Reg Clean).

Can someone help me? I have exams coming up and this is not good timing! :-o

    Thanks so much in advance.

No, I previously tried to follow other steps for malware removal from a different thread...but I can't find it now, sorry.

Anyway, I ran the 5 scans there and have attached the logs.

Thanks very much for your help! :)

You should never follow instructions that were given to another person. Each case can be different.

Please attach the correct log from MGtools. The file is the MGlogs.zip file as stated. Also please attach the requested log from Hitman Pro.

    Hey, sorry about that.

When I ran MGtools last night it didn't produce any new logs (possibly corrupted? Or maybe I'm just getting more paranoid), but I have these logs (attached) that I got from a scan on the 16th if that's any good? Because when I tried to download MGtools and run it again it now has an error message saying I have no space left on my device. I will also attach Zip from second run to this so you can see.

Too old. We need a more current scan but first you need to take care of your major problem. Your hard disk is full. You cannot run like this. Your logs show
    Code:
    Size 286.27 GB (307,383,062,528 bytes)
    [SIZE=4][COLOR=red][B]Free Space 45.28 MB (47,480,832 bytes)[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE]
Hard disk space does not equal "memory space" which you were implying you were out of in your first message. You are not out of memory. You are out of free hard disk space which will cause all kinds of issues. This is probably your main issue.

You also still need to run Hitman Pro and attach the log.

    Hi again,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was hoping to clear some space on my hard drive by now, but haven't had a chance to buy a new external one, which would probably be the quickest (and safest?) way to make some more room.

In the meantime, I have been deleting stuff, but the space I create seems to disappear shortly after I create it (even after I run Ccleaner etc). Actually, I just noticed there that when the message comes up saying 'your hard drive is full - click here to free space', instead of freeing space it actually eats up whatever I have left...so I'm not doing that anymore.

I finally got a log from MGtools. So here are the latest 5 logs.

If you think this is a pain in the neck and you don't want to deal with it, just let me know! I know I need to clear some space on my laptop. However, I just cleared over 500mb and they came back within a few hours again...

    Thanks again for your help.

There really is nothing major for us to do here. As I stated before, your primary issue is lack of free disk space. 500MB is not going to help you . You need to free up at least 20 GB.
